Earnings and refunds
Every tip and sale lands in Earnings in your account menu once you've connected PayPal. Each payment links to its PayPal or Stripe page.
Missing a payment? Check Account > Payments for an alert on that account.
What you keep
PayPal takes a processing fee on each payment.
Taxes on what you earn are yours to report.
Tips come from anyone. To bill one client, send a payment link.
How supporters pay
Supporters pay with PayPal, Venmo (US only), or a card through PayPal. A Stripe account you connected before adds card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay at checkout.
If you've connected both
Where your money goes depends on how the supporter pays:
- PayPal and Venmo payments go to your PayPal account.
- Card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay payments go to your Stripe account.
- Earnings shows both in one list.
- Refunds and transfers to your bank happen in each account separately.
Refunds
- A storefront sale paid through PayPal: tap Refund on its row in Earnings. It returns the whole order and shows for 180 days after the sale. If your PayPal balance can't cover it, add funds and try again.
- Everything else: refund it in your own PayPal or Stripe account. SievePage picks it up on its own.
When a storefront sale is refunded, your stock goes back up and your buyer's downloads stop. The processor's own fee isn't returned.
Disputes and privacy
Disputes are yours to handle. PayPal's Resolution Center and Stripe's dispute guide walk you through one.
PayPal shows your legal name to your supporter, and you see their name and email. SievePage isn't a financial institution or broker. See our Terms.
