Getting paid with payment links (soon)
Make a priced payment link for any commission, send it wherever you already talk to your client, and get paid by card. The link lives on the card you're tracking the work on.
This is rolling out with the commission tools and isn't on every account yet.
Make a link
Open a commission card, and under its commission details:
- Tap Create payment link
- Enter the amount for that piece
- Tap Create link
Make one link per piece, or separate links for a deposit and the balance. Each is tied to that card. Amounts are in USD.
Send it
Copy the link and paste it into a Discord DM, your commissions channel, an email, or anywhere else you send links. Your client needs no account.
How your client pays
The link opens a pay screen with the amount and a card field.
- They pay by card. No SievePage, Stripe, or PayPal account.
- Card details stay with the processor. We never store them.
- You both get a notification once the payment goes through.
Get your money
Payments collect in your Commission earnings balance.
Connect your bank through Stripe the first time you cash out.
- See what you've earned under Account > Commission earnings.
- Tap Withdraw to send it to your bank.
- Connect Stripe once, at cash-out. You don't need it to send links or collect payments, only to move money out.
Withdrawing requires a country Stripe supports. Clients can pay by card from almost anywhere.
Payment links vs. the Tip button
- Payment links: one commission, a set price, sent to one client. Earnings collect in your Commission earnings balance.
- The Tip button: on your public page for anyone, paid straight into your own connected Stripe account. See Payments.
Marking a card Paid, Deposit, or Unpaid is your own note and moves no money. A payment link is what collects it. See Commission Cards.
