Commission Requests
Visitors can send you a commission request from your page. They don't need a SievePage account, and nothing reaches your board until you accept it.
Choosing where asks go
While your page is set to Open or Waitlist, you pick how people ask you. Your commission status covers what those mean.
- On my page: your commission status becomes the ask. It reads Open · Ask for a commission, or Waitlist · Join the waitlist, and what visitors send shows up in your queue.
- Somewhere else: no form on your page. Point people to wherever you take asks, your DMs, another site, a form of your own.
Two settings come with On my page:
- Smallest budget: the lowest budget you'll consider. Visitors see the number on the request form and can't send a lower one.
- Add them to: the column an accepted request becomes a card in.
What they send
What they want in their own words and an email address, plus optional details like budget and deadline.
It reaches your queue when they send it.
Working through the queue
When you have requests waiting, open the Requests row and you'll see the type they picked, budget, work type, and deadline.
- Accept: becomes a card in the column you picked, with their words and refs on it.
- Decline: leaves the queue. You can add a private note. Nothing is sent to them.
- Reply: shows their address and opens your mail app. The request stays in the queue, marked replied, until you accept or decline.
Unanswered requests expire after two weeks.
What stays private
A client is named publicly only if they ticked that box themselves. It's off by default and you can't turn it on for them. You're the only one who sees their email address.
