Looks

A Look is your page's whole style: the base it sits on, the background behind your columns, the shade of your whites or blacks, your accent color, and the shape of your cards.

Style your page, then save it as a Look. Keep a cozy one and a spooky one, and switch whenever you want. Share the link so a friend can use yours too.

To reach any of this, tap the palette button in your page's status row, or open the page's Edit panel (the ⋯ menu in the sidebar). For your main page, it also lives under Page Look in the account menu.

The layers

Your page's appearance is six layers, each one a small choice of its own.

Base

Every page sits on a base, Light or Dark. Light is a clean, minimal base to build on; Dark switches the whole page, cards, and menus to a darker palette for low-light work.

A note on the SievePage base. New pages start on SievePage, our signature purple base. You can switch to Light or Dark any time, just know you can't switch back to SievePage once you do. Your other pages keep their own bases.

Background

An image set behind the column area, on any base. One background per page, and it stays put when you switch bases. The SievePage bedroom scene was drawn by @arunyi_.

Shade

Tune the family of whites on Light (warm white, cool white, or cream) or the blacks on Dark (pure black, navy, or charcoal). One pick recolors your page, cards, and menus together.

Accent

The highlight color used across your page's buttons, headers, and links.

Card style

The shape of every card on the page, set once: corners (sharp for a crisp grid, rounded for the standard look, or pill for something softer) and border (none for a floating feel, subtle for the standard hairline, or strong for a firmer edge). Picking a color for an individual card still works exactly as before, and always wins over the page's own card color.

Column width

Narrow, normal, or wide, for every column on the page. Narrow fits more of your queue on screen at once; wide gives each piece more room to breathe. You can also drag any column's edge, and it snaps to the three widths.

Save a Look

Once your page looks the way you like it, save the whole thing: open the palette panel and save it as a Look with a name. Saved Looks stay right there in the panel, two taps away whenever you want them back. You can keep up to 10.

Share a Look

Every saved Look has a share link. Copy it and post it anywhere: your page, a server, a friend's DMs. Whoever opens it sees the Look's name, your handle, and its accent swatch, a quick preview of what they're about to use.

Use a Look shared

Opening a share link shows a Use this Look chip on that page. Tap it, pick which of your pages should use it, and it's applied. A few quiet things happen along the way:

• Your page's current style is saved to your Looks first, automatically, and it doesn't count toward your 10. Changing back is just applying that Look again.
• The background comes with it. A copy of the image lands in your own storage. If your storage is full, everything else still applies and only the background is skipped.
• Not signed in yet? The Look waits for you. Sign in or join, and the first time you land on your own page you'll be offered it once. Pass on it and it lets go.

Someone using your Look never touches your page.
