Payments on SievePage

Connect PayPal to get paid. Tips, sales, and payment links go straight to your own account. See Earnings and refunds.

Connect PayPal

1. Open Account from your account menu, expand Payments, and tap Connect on the PayPal row.
2. Sign in to PayPal and let SievePage take payments for you. You need a PayPal Business account. PayPal upgrades a personal one when you sign in.
3. PayPal sends you back. If it still says it's checking after a minute, tap Refresh status.

Once it's ready, you can:

• Take tips. A Tip button shows on your public pages.
• Sell files and links. Turn on Sell this on a card. See Selling & delivery.
• Send payment links. Bill a client for a commission from its card. See Getting paid with payment links.
• Hold downloads until paid. Deliver commission files your client can download once they pay. See Commission delivery.

Your buyers and clients pay with PayPal, Venmo where it's offered, or a debit or credit card through PayPal.

If something needs fixing

The panel says what's wrong:

• Your email isn't confirmed. Confirm it in PayPal, then tap Refresh status.
• Your account is restricted. Only PayPal can lift this. Contact PayPal support, then tap Refresh status.
• SievePage doesn't have permission. Tap Connect again and allow it on PayPal.
• Finished on PayPal? If you came back later, tap Check status.

Disconnect

Tap Disconnect on the PayPal row and confirm. You can connect a different PayPal account later.

PayPal can also end the connection from its side. Either way, your Tip and buy buttons go away until you reconnect, and money already paid stays in your PayPal account.

PayPal basics

• PayPal shows your legal name to whoever pays you.
• You need a PayPal Business account in a country where PayPal can receive payments. Payments arrive in your PayPal account's currency.

Fees

• PayPal takes its fee from each payment. The rate depends on your country and how your buyer paid: PayPal, Venmo, or card. See PayPal's fees.
• Earnings shows what reached your PayPal after that fee.

If you connected Stripe before

It keeps working until you decide to move.

• Nothing changes. Your Tip button, products, and card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay at checkout stay as they are.
• Your Stripe dashboard is still yours. Payouts, receipts, and refunds live there.
• You can add PayPal alongside it. See If you've connected both.
• To move to PayPal: withdraw any commission balance, connect PayPal, then tap Disconnect on the Stripe row. Card payments then go through PayPal. Apple Pay and Google Pay are no longer offered.
